For school districts

Review Praxis Percussion before you sign anything

This page is the whole district-facing record: what the software does, what it would hold about a student, who processes it, how long it is kept, what happens in an incident, and where the limits are. Everything here is also on one downloadable packet you can forward to counsel.

Current privacy statement and terms

Both are published, versioned, and content-addressed: the exact bytes of each published version are registered, so an acceptance recorded against one can always say which text it covered.

Where a data privacy agreement and these documents disagree about student information, the agreement controls. The standard form is written that way and Praxis takes the same position from its side.

What Praxis does not claim

A reviewer's first job is finding what a vendor left out. These are the gaps, stated here rather than discovered at renewal.

    Request a district review

Write to taylor@backwerdrimshot.com and name the district, the person who would approve an agreement, and the technology, privacy, legal and purchasing contacts who should review it. Praxis opens a review workspace scoped to your district and invites the people you name.

Each reviewer signs in with their own work address through a single-use link. They join a review, not the district's Praxis workspace: a reviewer holds no membership, no roster, and no student record anywhere in the product.
