About
Built by a percussion educator who has run the rehearsal.
Praxis Percussion is made by Taylor Dwyer and published by Backwerd Rimshot, LLC, in Fort Worth, Texas. It exists because the admin side of a percussion program is real work that general school software does not do well.
Taylor Dwyer
Taylor is a percussion educator, arranger, and designer based in Fort Worth. For over a decade, Taylor has worked with middle and high school programs across Texas: rebuilding percussion sections, writing curriculum, teaching private lessons, and presenting clinics.
That work spans marching percussion, concert percussion, drum set, and curriculum design, and it is the lens every Praxis Percussion tool is built through: it has to hold up in a real band hall, practice room, or rehearsal.
Taylor holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music, with a concentration in percussion, from the University of North Texas.
